The reintroduction of the Iberian lynx in Extremadura continues with the release of three other specimens

The program of reintroduction of the Iberian lynx in Extremadura, integrated into Life "Recovery of Iberian lynx in Spain and Portugal" project continues its release program in the pre - adaptation fenced area. The first lynx where already released on their natural habitat.

Ketamina and Kakapo, two females from Silves (Portugal) Reproduction Center, where released into fenced area on the afternoon of July 2th.
Today, Friday, July 4 th, will be released into the pre - adaptation fenced area, a two years old male, named “Jerez”, coming from the reproduction center of Olivilla.
