Lynx, like another’s carnivores, sometimes use Matrilineality Philopatry, that is, daughter remains on its mothers neighboring areas, or share the same area. On a Serra de Andújar’s property, where CBB-Habitat Foundation cooperate, females Sierpe (1999), Betis (2005) and Granza (2010) (Grandmother, mother and daughter), occupy three nearby territories. And, this year the granddaughter (Granza), had three cubs that are the first Sierpe’s great-grandchildren that has already 14 years old. This female is well known by some tourists, which had the luck of come across with it. We hope that one of the cubs it’s a female, that stays on this territory and has the possibility to reproduce.
