2017-11-18 - 1st Barrancos IBERLINCE Trail

On November 18th, 2017, Barrancos welcomes the 1st Barrancos IBERLINCE Trail, which aims to sensitize the population regarding the need to preserve the Iberian lynx in Portugal. In this event, the 511 enrolled participants will trek the Iberian lynx’s paths, passing through places such as the Castle of Noudar and Monte da Coitadinha. Good disposition is to be expected, and there will be plenty climbs and descents, conviviality and fun!

The Barrancos Iberlince Trail consists of three types of races: Mini Trail (11 km), Trail (21 km) and Long Trail (40 km), the latter being integrated in the Lacatoni Portugal Trail Cup, Southern Region; scheduled trial of the Portugal Trail Running Association (ATRP). There will be 40 competitive podiums, in which 120 athletes will be awarded.

The initiative is organized by Barrancos Futebol Clube with the support of the LIFE+Iberlince project, the Barrancos Municipality, the Noudar Nature Park, Biogado and the Barrancos Schools Grouping.
