Andalusia awards prizes to the Iberian Lynx Conservation 2015 and grants the project Life+Iberlince

The Minister of Environment and Planning, José Prosecutor, delivered yesterday, April 4, the awards Iberian Lynx Conservation, which give partner employees of the Life+Iberlince program.

Each of the winners has been proposed by one of the partners. Thus, the Government of Extremadura has decided to award to Juan Ignacio Cueva Spinola, owner of the farm "Hardales", where there have been numerous loose lynx.

The County of Castilla La Mancha has allocated the award to Toledo for work performed sensitize in schools in the province, with programs like "El Lince en en cole". In addition, Portugal has recognized the work of the company Romeiras, Caça e Turismo S.A., to facilitate the reconciliation of hunting, biodiversity conservation and nature tourism.

Meanwhile, the Region of Murcia has awarded Miguel Angel Ruiz, head of the Society and Culture of the newspaper "La Verdad" and journalist specializing in Environment. Finally, the Government of Andalusia has awarded the prize for theater group Alanis "Más allá de mi Cocina", which has staged "Las aventuras de Lino", a musical work with argument related to the lynx and composed of own actresses and technical equipment of the theater company.

The gala awards of the Iberian Lynx Conservation has taken place in the Portugal Consulate in Sevilla. During the ceremony, the Minister of Environment and Land Planning thanked the efforts of the project partners Life+Iberlince which co-finances the European Union partners.
