Re-edition of "Management Manual of the Iberian lynx’s habitat and its main prey, the wild rabbit"

Among the actions of disclosure provided by the Life+Iberlince project, its partner the Foundation CBD-Habitat has completed the re-edition of Management Manual of the Iberian lynx’s (Lynx pardinus) habitat and its main prey, the wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus ). The first edition of the handbook was held in 2007. Since then it is intended as a practical tool for technicians, managers, hunters and owners interested in good management practices for the Iberian lynx. Because of its importance for the conservation of the species and its key role in the Iberian Mediterranean ecosystems, emphasis on management to improve populations of wild rabbit is done.

This edition has been updated in the light of the evolution of populations of lynx and its conservation objectives. It has also been translated to Portuguese and it is available in both languages in the same volume of which 1,000 copies have been printed. These copies were distributed among the specialized sectors in different areas of the project.

It is also available in digital version (Spanish and Portuguese) for free download from the Web of Life+Iberlince project and the CBD-Habitat Foundation.
