Moruno and Marzipan, released in the Montes de Toledo

Among the releases scheduled by the Life+Iberlince Project for the reintroduction area of Montes de Toledo, yesterday May 5, it has proceeded to release two new Iberian lynx, Moorish and marzipan.

The first lynx released was "Moorish", a copy from the breeding centre of El Acebuche (Huelva), after that it was Marzipan’s time, an exemplary born in the breeding centre in Zarza de Granadilla (Caceres).

The two new Iberian lynx are part of the ten copies that are planned to being drop this year in Montes de Toledo.

Mosto, Malvasia, Malabar, Marchés and Mirabel are since yesterday sharing their territory.

Both Moruno and Marzipan took to the field a transmitter collar incorporated for continuous monitoring through GPS locations.
