New breed of Iberian lynx in the Sierra Morena Oriental (Ciudad Real)

Technicians from the Life+Iberlince Project have confirmed wild birth of the second litter of Iberian lynx reintroduction in the area of Sierra Morena Oriental in Ciudad Real.

On this occasion it was Kiki, born in 2013, from the breeding center Silves (Portugal) and released in July 2014. The female litter has been detected after reviewing cameras camera traps, which has seen followed by two female cubs.

With this new finding playing the two territorial females established and founded hopes that they could raise this year it was also confirmed.

The Life+Iberlince project wants to take this happy news to recognize the important work of the owners and managers of farms that collaborate with the project to reintroduce the species.
