Approved Recovery Plan Iberian lynx in Extremadura

Published in the Official Journal of Extremadura Order, the Plan of Recovery of the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) in Extremadura is now approved.

This Order is published in order to adapt regulation to the conditions and needs of the species, and approving a new Recovery Plan to the Iberian lynx.

Thanks to this Order, Extremadura has a regulatory framework that adequately ensures the survival and future of our flagship species, both at the provincial level and at the state and peninsular level.

The zones of the current distribution are set and provides for future zoning. It also determines the Plan of Action, as well as management activities and habitat management actions to regulate and minimize non-natural mortality, proper game management and conservation teams Iberian lynx (field and breeding centres). Finally, the Order determines the Emergency Plan the Iberian lynx in Extremadura".
