MENCATUR 2016 ends its thirteenth edition with the Iberian lynx as a figure of local development

During the past weekend the town of Villanueva de la Fuente, located in the southeast of the province of Ciudad Real, it was hosted the XIII Fair Hunting, Rural Tourism, Handicraft and Local products, MENCATUR 2016.
The municipality of Villanueva de la Fuente, consolidates another year as a meeting point for the promotion and enhancement of hunting, cultural, gastronomic and tourist potential of the area. Thus, this fair becomes the best framework for promoting numerous activities in the region.
The Life+Iberlince project has been present with a stand where visitors to the fair were attended personally by the project technicians in Castilla La Mancha. In parallel, attendees were able to expand their knowledge about the Iberian lynx and the reintroduction project, thanks to the exhibition "Territories Lynx" has been exposed throughout the weekend in one of the pavilions of the fair.
On Sunday 14, at 19:30 pm, there was a presentation by technicians FomeCam under the title, "Life+Iberlince Project: The Iberian lynx as a resource for rural development." Act that generated great interest among the audience and was very well received by the participants employment workshop taking place in the town on the Neoturismo - hunting tourism.
The project host Iberian lynx reintroduction by the assistant to the fair has had very good audience. There were many people who came to the stand to show their interest and support for the project, expressing his congratulations on the birth occurred this year. Moreover, much of the visitors who were interested in the project we encouraged to make releases of Iberian lynx in the region, since it is an area with historical presence of the lynx.
