Visit of the students who won the National Contest for Schools "Us for the Lynx and the Lynx for us" to Noudar Nature Park, under the Life+Iberlince Project

The IBERLINX Association and the Lisbon Zoo (www.zoo.pt), in partnership with the General Directorate of Education (DGE) and the Blue Flag Association for Europe (ABAE) through the Eco-Schools program, with the support of Life+Iberlince Project, held the National Competition for Schools " Us for the Lynx and the Lynx for us ".

On 6, 7 and 8 September, the IBERLINX Association with the support of Noudar Nature Park (edia), received the School Group of Madalena and Secondary School Gaia Nascente, winners of the contest.

For three days students attended a technical project, which were discussed different issues concerning the reintroduction of the Iberian lynx, improving habitat, wild rabbit census, habitat defragmentation and monitoring of lynx. In field visits they had the opportunity to see and take part in some of the actions developed by the project, including the creation surrounded wild rabbit and wild rabbit census.
