The Life+IBERLINCE Project visited the schools of Almodôvar

Between November 2 and 11, 2016, the Iberlinx Association was present in Almodôvar, contiguous to the area of reintroduction of the Natural Park of the Valley of the Guadiana (PNVG), to carry out the dissemination of the Life+IBERLINCE project for the approximately 300 Pre-school students and the first cycle of the Almodôvar School Group.

The awareness campaign consisted of the presentation of the species and its habitat, threats, results of the reintroductions made in the PNVG in 2015 and 2016 and ongoing actions. After the lectures, the students of the 3rd and 4th class tested their knowledge about the Iberian lynx by participating in the "Lince Treasure Hunt", a game that consisted of following clues and responding to challenges related to the lynx theme, from way to find the treasure.

During the "Lince Treasure Hunt", the students were photographed by the photo-trapping cameras just as the Iberian lynx, in their "natural habitat", and the lynx was news in the school newspaper.
