Apam-CLM and the conservation of the Iberian Lynx

The "Professional Association of Environmental Agents of Castilla-La Mancha environment (Apam-CLM)" presented the work that is being carried out by environmental agents in the region with regard to monitoring and conservation of lynx, one of most endangered cats in the world.

This group has secured a key part of the work that allows the reintroduction of lynx in Castilla-La Mancha, where traditionally there was one of Iberian lynx most important populations of the Iberian Peninsula, through the monitoring of the specimens by radio transmitters

The association reminded that Iberian lynx is cataloged as a species in critical danger of extinction and which for years has been fighting for its survival.

For this reason, agents redouble efforts to eradicate from nature all the mechanisms prohibited by law and that may jeopardize the existence of lynx, such as the use of poisons and other massive and non-selective hunting methods, such as bonds and trapped boxes.
