The Iberian lynx: "guest of honor" at the Almodôvar school

On January 11, 2017, the Almodôvar School Group students carried out an awareness raising action for the parents and the inauguration of an exhibition of works on the Iberian lynx.

During the project's publicity actions carried out by the IBERLINX Association during November in Almodôvar municipality, students had the opportunity to learn more about the Iberian lynx, its habitat and the actions that are being carried out within the scope Of the Life+IBERLINCE project.

On January 11, the students showed what they learned through an awareness-raising action aimed at parents. The event consisted of a presentation, made by all the students of the school, focused on the characteristics of the species and its conservation, passing through the actions and results of the LIFE+Iberlince project achieved so far. After the presentation, the parents visited an exhibition dedicated to the Iberian lynx, with works done by the students.

This activity allowed a greater approximation of the local population to the problem of the conservation of the Iberian lynx demonstrating that the collaboration of all is essential and important for the success of the conservation of the species.
