We continued to work with the Ministry of Public Works to minimize Lynx run over’s

The monitoring of the conservation work on Road N-442 had the objective of minimize the run over’s between Mazagon and Huelva’s Chemical Area

Over the past months, Huelva’s  Area of Conservation, integrated on the Ministry of Public Works is conducting woks of cleanness and bush control on a 10km section that has been identified of high mortality for lynx that live in that area. This kind of action allows to increase the drivers visibility so they can see a lynx or another animal, that is near the road side with the intention of cross it. 
Currently, there are signalization for wildlife fauna, however it’s going to be reinforced in future, to make car-users aware of the existence of animals in that area. Furthermore, passageways have been set up to facilitate the road’s cross.
The dimensions of these structures are smaller to the recommended for the medium size fauna, lice Iberian-lynx, but could allow the secure crossover of animals, while it’s being analyzed the possibility of install stronger measures.

Measures like low speed, particular attention of road side and maintain ditches in good condition, should be assumed bt general population, conscious that their on safety, and animals depend of it.
