Canal Sur: Two Iberian lynxes released in the Guarrizas river area, in Jaén

Two new Iberian lynxes, two females from La Olivilla (Jaén) and Silves (Portugal), have been released today in the reintroduction area of the Guarrizas river, in La Carolina (Jaén), to genetically reinforce the species in Sierra Morena.

The Minister of Environment and Land Planning, José Fiscal, has participated in the liberation, which has been carried out in the estate Hueco Bajo, and has been attended by schoolchildren of the school Palacios Rubios, who have named One of the specimens, namely Snow, born in the breeding center of La Olivilla.
