The Life+Iberlince project joins the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the European Commission's Life program

The Life+Iberlince project "Recovery of the historical distribution of Lynx pardinus in Spain and Portugal" is associated with the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the European Commission's Life program, which will take place on 21 May. A series of awareness-raising activities aimed at all citizens.

These activities, which aim to remind European citizens of the repercussion and impact of the Life program as a tool for financing essential projects for nature, climate change and the environment in its 25 years of existence, including the Life+Iberlince project, with a day of awareness around the figure of the Iberian lynx that the Iberlince Project has scheduled for next Sunday in Andújar (Jaén), and whose programming, also has the theatrical representation "Mírame de Lejos". To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Life program, the Iberlince Project will be launching a balloon with the corporate colors of the EU, which will count on the presence of children and families in Andújar.

In addition, a giant flag will be drawn up, in which participants will be involved in their confection, which will be held in the Plaza de España in the locality, which will later present it throughout the area where activities are taking place, after a conversation with the project team Iberlince on the importance of the support of the Life program in the conservation of the Iberian lynx in the Peninsula.

In the workshop of facial paintings, the participants, in addition to painting the face with the face of a lynx, will also paint their hands with the 25th LIFE and, thus, be able to participate from Andújar with the movement that simulates the flight of a butterfly in celebration of the "European Nature 2000 Day", which unites Europeans from different countries.

As a reminder of the 25th anniversary of the Life program, participants will be able to take a photograph next to an Iberian lynx, thanks to the installation of a model that Project Iberlince will produce, which will include the special anniversary logo of the 25th anniversary of the program.
