At least two litters of Iberian lynx confirmed to have been born in the wild, in Extremadura

Experts from the Iberlince project on the ground in Extremadura have been able to verify the existence of two new Iberian lynx litters born in the wild.

One of the mothers, Lechuza, born in 2014, had a litter of at least 3 puppies and the other, Kakapo, born in 2013, had at least 2 puppies. All of them reside at the Valle del Matachel Site of Communal interest (SCI).

All observations, either direct or via camera-trap, indicate that the puppies are in good physical condition.

Thus, for the third consecutive year, new litters continue being born in the wild, in Extremadura, ever since it started in 2014.
