Lynx run over on the A-4 in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real)

Last Saturday, July 22, the 112 service was alerted to the presence of a possibly run over body of a male radio-marked Iberian lynx. The finding took place in the municipality of Valdepeñas, at pk 211 of the A-4.

Environmental Agents and SEPRONA Agents were immediately contacted to carry out the removal of the body and subsequent transfer to the reference centre, to carry out the animal’s autopsy.

Iberlince would like to once again request drivers’ cooperation in order to minimize the species’ main cause of unnatural death, as well as contributing to the safety of drivers themselves.
