Another year, another prompt attendance by the Life+IBERLINCE Project at the annual FECIEX event

The twenty-seventh Hispano-Portuguese Iberian Hunting, Fishing and Nature Fair, FECIEX 2017, was celebrated like any other year in Badajoz, with an ever-increasing participation of both public and exhibitors. Held at the Badajoz Fair Institute (IFEBA), the fair was extremely welcomed by both fans and general public, becoming once again one the most important hunting and fishing events in Spain and Portugal.

At the Ministry for the Environment and Rural Affairs, Territory and Agricultural Policies booth, attendees were informed about the "Life+IBERLINCE Project: recovery of the historical distribution of the Iberian lynx in Spain and Portugal", while an assortment of informative material regarding the project was distributed.

As always, the hunting sector was promoted with special emphasis, in order to raise awareness to the fact that the lynx, far from being an enemy of hunting, is an excellent ally for the hunter, given that, in areas where there’s a stable presence of lynxes, rabbit populations increase because the lynx drives other predators away from its territories.
