The IBERLINCE Project itinerant exhibition visits CITUR

In the beautiful town of Helechosa de los Montes (Badajoz), at "Los Robledillos", the 11th edition of the CITUR: Hunting and Nature Tourism Fair took place.

Over the years, the Fair has established itself as a reference in the Cíjara region, gathering between 5,000 and 7,000 visitors each year.

The Helechosa municipality was kind enough to contact the Ministry of Natural and Rural Environment, Agricultural and Territorial Management to request the Itinerant Exhibition on the Iberian lynx and show it in a prominent place within its facilities. At our booth, an array of Life+IBERLINCE Project’s informative material was relayed and distributed.

Given the Fair’s special theme, a special emphasis was placed on raising awareness within the hunting sector regarding the lynx being an excellent hunting ally, considering that rabbit populations increase in areas with a consistent lynx presence as the feline drives other predators out of its territories.
