Lynx hit in A-4

Last Friday, November 17th, at the end of the night, specialists from the Regional Government of Andalusia, attached to the Life+IBERLINCE project, were notified about the presence of an Iberian lynx corpse at kilometre 304,900 of the A-4 motorway, in the Andújar municipality (Jaén).
The body was in very poor condition and was transferred to the Wildlife Analysis and Diagnosis Centre of the Regional Government of Andalusia (CAD) where a complete post-mortem examination was performed.
Iberlince would like to emphasize the importance of notifying 112 once a dead Iberian lynx is found in order to quickly activate the body removal protocol, which is essential to obtain as much information as possible on the cause of death.
