Female run over in Montes de Toledo

Upon receiving notice, on Saturday night, December 23rd, Environmental Agents and IBERLINCE project personnel located an Iberian lynx corpse on the CM-410 motorway, in the Mazarambroz municipality. The corpse corresponded to a female born in 2016 in Montes de Toledo. Once the body was promptly removed, it was transferred to CERI.

Work is currently being carried out on the aforementioned road to reinforce and replace enclosures of bordering estates, in order to avoid further lynx specimens of being run over. The first phase is scheduled to conclude in January, whereas the second phase will take place throughout 2018.
