Orion, a constellation name to baptize an Iberian lynx

Time is running out for you to send in name suggestions for the Iberian lynx specimens that will be released in the Guadalmellato and Guarrizas reintroduction areas in the coming months. Today is January 19, the last day of the #BautizaUnLince campaign, so take the opportunity because you still have a few hours to send in a name (or more than one) that starts with the letter O.

One of the latest proposals came from Murcia. Specifically, from Javalí Nuevo. Students of the Contraparada Primary School chose the name Orion, like the constellation.

According to their teacher, they are carrying out a project called 'Art in the stars' and both the school’s students and teachers are doing work on the universe, the Milky Way, the planets, the sun, comets, astronauts. ... That’s where the name of Orion came from.

Orion joins the long list of names you proposed since late December. Olé, Oasis, Ocre, Oliva, Okey, Ojinegro, Ochío, Olimpia, Onuba, Obi-wan, Osada, Oetam, Ola, Ofelia, Omega, Odiseo, Olalla, Olaf, Ocarina, Oboe, Otoño, Osiris ... And many more !
