The lynx population reaches 547 specimens

The number of felines has increased fivefold since 2002, when there were only 94 between Doñana and Sierra Morena

One cannot state that this is a record number because, in a not too distant past, the lynx was present in virtually the entire Iberian Peninsula, but it is a symbolic, and very important number: the 'Lynx pardinus' population reached 547 specimens in 2017, according to the provisional census announced yesterday by the Regional Government of Andalusia.
