Osiris, Egyptian god of resurrection and regeneration

We start the week with more name proposals to baptize four of the seven Iberian lynx specimens that will be released in the coming months in the two reintroduction areas of Andalusia, Guadalmellato (Córdoba) and Guarrizas (Jaén). Okando, Ocarina, Oboe, Oasis, Origin, Oz, Opal, Otoño... And Osiris, a name to which we dedicate a few lines to today.

Osiris is Robert’s choice to name one of the lynxes that will be released into the wild this year. According to Robert’s email, this is name of the Egyptian God of resurrection and regeneration.

Along with his proposal, this boy sent us a school paper about the Iberian lynx, an animal that he chose as the subject for his case study when he was asked to pick a vertebrate animal. And as you can see in the image, the end result was fantastic. Thank you Robert for your effort and interest!
