II International Workshop of wildlife photoidentification network

From 23 to 26 February, technicians of the project LIFE + Iberlince from Andalusia Regional Council and WWF participated in the II International Workshop of wildlife photoidentification network (Wildlife Photo-ID network, Finnish Cultural Foundation. University of Eastern Finland), held in Joensuu (Finland).

This workshop was attended by experts in photoidentification in the fields of ecology, conservation, monitoring, data analysis and software developers from different countries.

This second workshop focused on data analysis for the study of demographic variables, population estimates, dispersion and update new software, available for this type of analysis.

Germán Garrote (Environment and Water Agency) presented a lecture about the use of phototrapping cameras for long-term monitoring of the Iberian lynx populations.

There will be a third Workshop in September.
