The theatre went to schools!
2018-03-20
From March 6th to the 14th, the IBERLINX Association, in collaboration with the "Ao Luar" theatre company and ADPM, visited the county schools encompassed in the Life+IBERLINCE project, to carry out yet another awareness raising campaign.
It consisted of the presentation of the "Aqui há Gato!" play – especially developed by the Ao Luar Teatro company, depicting the Iberian lynx conservation problem and the role of the local communities – and diverse activities using educational materials on the Guadiana Valley lynxes, such as activity books for the little ones, illustrated stories and board games for the grown-ups.
This initiative reached approximately 1,000 first cycle students from the 1st to the 4th grades of the Almodôvar, Castro Verde, Moura, Barrancos and Amareleja School Groups. Through these actions, we aimed to consolidate students' knowledge regarding the Iberian lynx.
IBERLINX would like to thank the Municipal Councils of Almodôvar, Castro Verde, Moura and Barrancos for providing a space to present the shows as well as transportation for students, and all the schools that once again welcomed the Life+IBERLINCE project.
