Hinojos to host a new Iberian lynx night tour on Friday, July 27th

Life Iberlince project specialists will accompany the hikers during the excursion and offer a formative talk about the species.
As part of its informative actions program, the Life+Iberlince project 'Recovery of the historical distribution of the Iberian lynx in Spain and Portugal' (2011-2018) scheduled a new Iberian lynx night tour for next Friday, July 27th.

On this occasion, the hike will be held in Hinojos (Huelva) and it’s open to every citizen ¬— up to 200 — who wants to learn, on foot, about the territories of the Iberian lynx, one of the area’s most emblematic species.

Before the excursion, participants will be able to attend a training session on the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus), helmed by the project's technicians who will accompany the hikers throughout the tour. During the trip they will impart essential information about the Iberian lynx’s biology and ecology, as well as on the actions carried out by the Life Iberlince project in the area. This way, attendees will be able to take full advantage of the night tour.

This hike, the fourth organized by Iberlince in the last two months in the provinces of Jaén, Córdoba and Huelva, will depart from the Hinojos Cultural Centre at 8.30 pm and last approximately three hours.

With this participatory initiative, the Life Iberlince project aims to raise social awareness regarding the importance of participating in the recovery of endangered species.
