Life+IBERLINCE is present in “IBER-FORESTA”

The LIFE IBERLINCE Project visit the I Iberian Forestry "iber-foresta" Fair in Plasencia

The first call of the 1st Iber-forest Fair takes place between 19 and 21of March 2015. This fair is organized by the Extrefor Extremadura Association of Works and Forestry Services Companies and the Natural environment, has the support of the Government of Extremadura, the University of Extremadura, the Municipality of Caceres, the Ayuntamiento de Plasencia and Program Red Nova.

The first Iberian Forestry Fair matches with the celebration of 2015 World Forestry Day. The main objective of this event is to inform the forest resources and the need to safeguard this natural wealth so important in Spain and Portugal.

Given the geographical coincidence with the Life + Iberlince Project (both are cross-border projects between España y Portugal) and, as several of the involved sectors are of interest to both projects, it was determined that they should attend such Fair.

In”IBER-FLORESTA” were cited a wide range of companies related to the forestry world and the environment: forest companies, from Biomass, Water Resources Forestry, Ecological products, Gardening, Nurseries, Tourism, Sport and Nature among others, of different sectors involved.

Many of these sectors are important in outreach work of the Life + Iberlince Project, in this way, the members of Agroforex distribute material about the reintroduction of lynx in Spain and Portugal.
