Life+IBERLINCE project’s protocol successfully activated to bring Llera back to Sierra Morena

This Monday (11th of May) morning, the Life+IBERLINCE project’s technicians got informed by the owner of a farm that the lynx Llera was there, in Casas de Lázaro (Albacete), where it had fallen in a trap, enabled and certified for the foxes’ control.
The program Iberlince’s protocol was immediately activated and the technical project staff, as well as environmental agents, showed up at the local and freed Llera. After a first check up, Llera no damage was noticed and Llera got transferred to Centro de Atención de Fauna del Chaparrillo (Ciudad Real) in spite of getting fuller tests done. The Center confirmed that Llera did not suffer any damage, so, in the night, they proceeded to its liberation at Sierra Morena, in a public farm located in the municipality of Almuradiel (Ciudad Real).
