Iberlince participates in the XII Jornadas Cinegéticas de Castilla La Mancha
2015-05-20
The Iberlince Project in Castilla La Mancha was present at the XII Jornadas Cinegéticas celebrated in Cobisa, a locality near Toledo.
The conferences have been continuously organized by the Centro de Formación Profesional y Educación Secundaria CPR EFA ORETANA (Burguillos, Toledo) which were called “LA CAZA FOTOGRÁFICA - Un aprovechamiento alternativo en los terrenos cinegéticos” in the present edition. The conferences are also open to public in general, reaching more than one hundred attendants in this edition.
During the conferences, the assistants had the chance to visit the “Territorios de Lince” exhibition, which presents information about iberian-lynx’s biology, its threats, the benefits of its conservation, besides showing the different aspects developed by the Life+Iberlice Project. Likewise, the project’s technicians have been present to provide information, solve and clarify specific doubts about lynx’s reintroduction in Castilla La Mancha.
The photographic hunting are considered from several sectors as an underutilized resource in hunting grounds which could be considered atractive to tourism in some of the periods in which hunting is not practiced, working as an input and dinamic labour income in rural areas. This, allied to the lynx’s presence, can be an impulse to rural tourism in all of this territories with well preserved natural systems.
From the Iberlince Project we want to thank the interest and colaboration of the CPR EFA ORETANA and especially the center’s staff for the promotion and development of this kind of conferences in which the biodiversity conservation and hunting come together. This is very important to the region.
Furthermore we would like to highlight the good reception given to the Life+Iberlince project among those attending this conference.
