World Environment Day in Guadalcanal

On the 5th of June, the Life+IBERLINCE project celebrated the World Environment Day in Plaza de España in Guadalcanal with a creative artistic activity "like coming home..." whose message was to investigate the idea of the return, of coming back home, by the Iberian-lynx .

For that were used 10km of wool, from the figure of a lynx, led to a big tissue connecting the elements present in the public space. This network connection was carried out by all the people who attended, starting with the concepts of care and protection of lynx figure. The end result was to create bonds of union between the lynx and all the elements present in this environment: neighbors, institutions, etc... and whose relations are established of any being with the place we inhabit.

This activity targeted primarily at young people, had a great support not only among themselves but also with other neighbors of all ages from Guadalcanal, creating among all active and fun participation.

Parallel to the activity in the Plaza de España, it had been installed a stand of Life+Iberlince Project, with information and questions related to the project.
