Male Iberian-lynx hit by a car in the CM-410 in the town of Pulgar (Toledo)

On the last 18th of September, 2015, at 08:20 AM, an individual have warned the emergency services and the Civil Guard about the discovery of an Iberian-lynx’s body in the pk. 14 of the CM-410 road in the municipality of Pulgar.

In the scene of the accident there were the environmental agents of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development to launch the protocol to the removal of the animal’s body.
All signs seem to indicate that the death was by accident.

It is a 3 year aged male, radiolabeled, from the reintroduction program of Montes de Toledo.
The animal will be transferred to the Reference Center for Castilla La Mancha for its necropsy.
