Iberlince present in the 1st Hunting Fair of Chillon

The Hunters’ Association of Chillon, in collaboration with HE. City of Chillon and the Association of Pensioners "Los Portales" have been the organizing the "First Fair of Hunting of Chillon", which took place on October 3, 2015 in the town.

To this event was invited Life+Iberlince Project to make a presentation on the reintroduction of the Iberian Lynx in Castilla La Mancha and the hunting management it involves. So FOMECAM technicians, presented the past, present and future prospects of the lynx in the region and its support hunting.

This was how the first exhibition game of Chillon started, a town southeast of Ciudad Real, with the Lynx as a rural development proposal, allied hunters to achieve the balance in natural ecosystems.

There were many activities during the day, such as exposure and flight falconry birds, rehalas national contest, contest rabbit hunting hounds, talk about “silvestrismo”, among others. At the same time, the attendees were able to taste and buy local products.

This event became a fun and festive day, with the aim of promoting hunting as an engine of sustainable local development, generating income and jobs and perfectly compatible with the conservation of biodiversity.
