A prize for the inhabitants of the municipalities of the Parque Natural Sierra de Cardeña y Montoro

The Minister of Environment and Land Planning, José Fiscal, delivered last October 21 in Cardena (Municipality of Cordoba) the iberian Lynx Award conceded every year by the Governing Board of the park to the inhabitants of the municipalities that make up Sierra de Cardena y Montoro, for them role in the preservation of natural and cultural values of the protected area and its surrounding Natural Park. This is the eleventh edition of the awards given annually by the Governing Board of the park, which also coincides with the 25th anniversary of its declaration. With the granting of this award they will also seek to recognize and encourage all actions that take place in this enclave to benefit the conservation of the Iberian lynx. One of the greatest values of this area is the great diversity of the houses in it, which together - with the Andújar Natural Park - form the only place in the world where emblematic species live, such as the Iberian lynx, the imperial eagle and the wolf.
