Life+IBERLINCE Project Technicians meeting with the Environmental Agents of Toledo

On Tuesday, 26 of January, before the start of the first releases of the Iberian lynx in Castilla La Mancha, it was held at the regional office of Gálvez a meeting with the aim of planning and coordinating for monitoring the Iberian lynx that the Life+IBERLINCE Project is reintroducing in the province.

The session was attended by 28 environmental agents and 4 coordintatr agents of the counties: La Jara, Talavera, Navalmorales, Madridejos, La Mancha, Torrijos and Toledo. Some of these areas already have more or less stable lynx presence and have experience in monitoring of the species, as well as in solving problems that may arise from the presence of the lynx.

The event was also by the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development and the head of service of the Provincial Delegation of Toledo Forestry and Natural Areas Policy and a technician from the same provincial delegation, along with two technicians FomeCam.

The purpose of the meeting was to update the protocol for monitoring the species and environmental agents to areas neighboring counties reintroduction can be formed in such work for future expansion of the species in the province of Toledo.
