First release of 2016 in the area of Guadalmellato

On February 10, there was a new release of an Iberian lynx in the area of Guadalmellato.

This is an Iberian lynx that was captured in the town of Montoro after being detected in an ancient well uncovered in 2015 (news). The specimen was removed from the well and has been brought up during this time in the breeding center of La Olivilla.

On the last Wednesday it was released in an area known as La Reyerta and it was identified as exemplary, it is the first lynx reintroduced into the area Guadalmellato in 2016.
