A female Iberian lynx dies on the A-481 motorway

On Saturday the 24th, specialists from the Ministry of Environment and Territorial Planning attached to the Life+Iberlince program were notified of the presence of an Iberian lynx corpse on the A-481 motorway, which links the towns of Villamanrique de la Condesa ( Huelva) and Hinojos (Huelva).

At the site of the event, a project specialist and several Environmental agents went to the site and followed the protocol established for these cases. Agents of the Pilas Civil Guard (Sevilla) and Seprona also intervened, and headed the removal of the animal’s corpse.

The corpse of the eighteen-month-old female was transferred to the Wildlife Analysis and Diagnosis Centre (CAD) of the Regional Government of Andalucía where a necropsy will be performed.
