On Sunday the 11th, the children’s play ‘Mírame de Lejos’, by the EDAE theatre company, will be at the centre of an extensive activities program surrounding the lynx.
On June 11th, in Cardeña (Córdoba), the Life Iberlince project for the ‘Recovery of the historical distribution of the Iberian lynx in Spain and Portugal’ will host a seminar aimed at all audiences, which will focus on the play ‘Mírame de Lejos’, by the EDAE theatre company, as well as a wide variety of educational workshops in which both children and adults can have fun with and learn from the Iberian lynx.
In these workshops, which will take place Sunday morning from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plaza de la Independencia, attendees will learn the basics about the biology and ecology of the Iberian lynx, as well as other curiosities about the species, which will raise awareness regarding the need to conserve and protect endangered species such as Lynx pardinus.
As part of these activities, participants will be invited to make lynx masks and badges, play a large version of the game of the goose tailored to the lynx, dance the choreography of the lynx protagonists from the play ‘Mírame de Lejos ‘… Activities which will not only be fun but also relay messages regarding the conservation of this unique feline.
During the event, attendees will be able to enjoy a storyteller’s tales about the lynx, and join in the ‘Beware of the lynx’ workshop about road behavior, in which they’ll be given fundamental guidelines to consider while driving in lands where the Iberian lynx is present. They will also have the chance to visit a photography exhibition consisting of a selection of images of the species, its natural habitat and human context.
And as a memento of the event, participants will be able take photographs beside an Iberian lynx thanks to a virtual set Iberlince will install at the Plaza de la Independencia. These photos will be availbale for download from the project’s Facebook page (@iberlinceEU), where all photos taken in the photobooth during the event in Cardeña will also be displayed.
In the afternoon – at 6.30 p.m. -, and after an intense morning, attendees will be able to watch the children’s play ‘Mírame de lejos’, by the EDAE theatre company, in the Cardeña municipal stand. Directed by María Alcántara Manzanares, the play tells the story of a young Iberian lynx family through humor, songs and dance, while sharing their reality and the values that support their conservation.

The children’s theatre play ‘Mírame de Lejos’, by the EDAE company, will focus an extensive program of information activities around the Iberian lynx
The children’s theatre play ‘Mírame de Lejos’, by EDAE, will arrive next Saturday, June 3, at the Teatro Carlos III de La Carolina (Jaén) as the central axis of the seminar that will organize the project around the Iberian lynx Life+Iberlince ‘Recovery of the historical distribution of the Iberian lynx in Spain and Portugal’ that weekend in the town of Jaén.
Along with the theatrical performance, which will take place at 18.30 on Saturday, Iberlince has designed for Sunday, June 4, a wide program of playful and dynamic activities, aimed especially at children and youth, through which participants will know basic aspects of the biology and ecology of the Iberian lynx, as well as other curiosities about the species, which will help them to become aware of the need to conserve and protect endangered species such as the Iberian lynx.
The activities, which will take place throughout the morning at Paseo Molino de Viento in the town of Jaén, will invite the children to create masks of lynx, to make plaques of lynx, to play a game of the giant goose, to put music to the event in a percussion workshop… Workshops with which they will not only have fun, but also, will serve to transmit messages related to the conservation of the Iberian lynx.
During the day, which will start at 11.00 a.m. and until 2 p.m. uninterruptedly, attendees will also be able to enjoy a storyteller with stories of lynx and may participate in a workshop of road education ‘Cuidado con el lince’, in which monitors will give them some fundamental guidelines to follow when circulating in a territory with the presence of Iberian lynx. They will also be able to visit a photographic exhibition with a selection of images of the species, their natural habitat and human context.
Attendees will also be able to photograph themselves near an Iberian lynx thanks to a virtual scenario that Iberlince will install on the Windmill Walk of La Carolina, and whose images can be downloaded later on the project’s Facebook page (@iberlinceEU), where it also will be possible to see all the images taken in the photocall of the days.
With the theatrical performance and parallel activities, the Iberlince project aims to raise awareness of the Iberian lynx and to involve society in the importance of social participation in the recovery of threatened species.

To this purpose, it was designed a broad program of playful and dynamic activities, especially aimed at children and young people, through which participants will know basic aspects of the biology and ecology of the Iberian lynx, as well as other curiosities about the species, which will help them to become aware of the need to conserve and protect endangered species such as the Iberian lynx.

From the Life+IBERLINCE project we invite you to visit from the 21st of March to the 12th of April the exhibition “Territorios de Lince”, which will be exhibited in classroom 5 of the Casa de la Cultura in the town of Sonseca (Toledo). Municipality adjacent to the reintroduction zones of Iberian lynx in Castilla La Mancha.
This exhibition offers a tour of the biology of the Iberian lynx, its threats and the benefits of its recovery as well as information on the Life+IBERLINCE Project.
Despite that, during the days 21, 22, 23 and 24 the schoolchildren of the town will be doing workshops on the Iberian lynx, thanks to the collaboration that the Diputación de Toledo, through the Service of Agriculture and Environment and through of the educational staff of the Taxus nursery, has with the project Life+IBERLINCE. These activities are part of the educational program “El Lince al cole” which is being developed by multiple municipalities in the province of Toledo.

From Iberlince we invite you to attend the event organized by FOMECAM technicians under the Life+IBERLINCE project to be held in the town of Castellar de Santiago (Ciudad Real).
The day will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at the Hall of Acts of the Popular University located in the Plaza de la Constitución de Castellar de Santiago. At 17:00 there will be an activity on the Iberian lynx for the youngest.
At 19:00 it will be the turn of a talk-colloquium, accompanied by a wine and an aperitif where you can share impressions on the development of the reintroduction project, while solving the doubts that may exist about the species and His return to the region.
We appreciate Hon. City Council of Castellar de Santiago’s interest and collaboration and for the organization of this dissemination day and concern sharing.

From the Life+IBERLINCE project we invite you to visit from the 3rd to the 27th of November the exhibition “Territorios de Lince” which will be exhibited in the Hall of Acts of the Popular University (Plaza de la Constitución) in Castellar de Santiago, municipality Of Ciudad Real included in the Iberian lynx reintroduction area in Castilla-La Mancha. This exhibition offers a tour of the biology of the Iberian lynx, its threats and the benefits of its recovery as well as information on the Life+IBERLINCE Project.

FECIRCATUR 2016 Ciudad Real Fair of Tourism and Hunting, will feature the Life+Iberlince project in its second edition, to be held within the next days 9 to 11 September at the Exhibition Hall of Ciudad Real.
The Ciudad Real Fair of Tourism and Hunting, Fecircatur, continues the vocation to be the hunting landmark event in the community of Castilla-La Mancha, and this, its second year where we show hunting, tourism, gastronomic wealth and landscape of the region.
The fair is sponsored by the Business Federation of Ciudad Real (Fecir) and has the support of the Provincial de Ciudad Real and the most representative organizations in the field of hunting as APROCA, ASAJA, ASICCAZA, ATICA and Hunting Federation OF LA MANCHA.
The great social mass, along with the enormous economic capital that moves tourism and hunting in the region, is not unnoticed to Iberlince project, so its presence in this event with the exhibition “Territorios de Lince” and with the paper: “Life+Iberlince Project: An opportunity to conserve the Iberian lynx in Castilla-La Mancha,” by technicians of FomeCam, it is essential to disseminate and raise awareness of the benefits of the presence of Iberian lynx in our mountains.
Such presentation will be held on Saturday September 10 at 18:00, within the proposed activities during the fair.
Likewise, FomeCam technicians will be present at the stand that the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Development has to show the biodiversity of the region and within the Iberian lynx as an exponent of a well-preserved environment.

The Life+Iberlince “Recovery of the historical range of the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) in Spain and Portugal” project will participate in the 13th edition of MENCATUR (Fair hunting, rural tourism, crafts and local produce) on 13 and 14 August in the town of Villanueva de la Fuente (Ciudad Real).
MENCATUR hosts a wide variety of professionals from various fields, such as game management, hospitality, catering, tourism, food, crafts, etc., giving these companies an ideal place for the promotion and implementation of its activities framework.
The lynx reintroduction project in Castilla La Mancha will be present with the exhibition “Territorios de Lince” and a stand where all participants who want to see firsthand the development of the reintroduction of the feline in the region will be addressed.
The project technicians also made a presentation, framed within the activities scheduled during the fair, to provide the most current project information.
