“Encouraging connectivity between nuclei of lynx populations and future expansion areas is essential in order for them to move from one place to another and procreate with congeners from other populations”.

“The priority is not only to reach a greater number of specimens, but also to allow for transference within the territories that the lynx is slowly reoccupying, which is essential to promote genetic exchange and the viability of the species”.

These are some of the statements made by LIFE Iberlince project director, Miguel Ángel Simón, in the article ‘The Iberian lynx could no longer be endangered by 2025’, published by the journal El Independiente.
